New Hope Community Cafe
In our society there are many people who feel lonely or isolated. Often this is not their fault but can be due to circumstances - unemployment, recently moved, partner working away, caring for young children but the effects can be traumatic.
People can feel lost, confused, have poor self - esteem or feel valueless.
New Hope Cafe has been running for over a year. We are aiming to meet the needs of anyone who may or may not be feeling this way and who would like to meet with someone over coffee and cake. The Cafe runs at the same time as Foodbank so that we can reach out to those who may be a their lowest point and in need.
It is a very relaxed atmostphere, the cakes home made, the coffee fresh (we also offer tea to those who prefer tea!).
Headed up by Roger Smith, Mike and Toni Moon with a fantastic team of volunteers, we have a team of people who care about you. We will sit and listen, chat, pray for you if you would like us to, but most of all they would like to meet you, so please feel free to come.
New Hope also runs various social action programmes through Community Action Norwich such as a lunch club/day centre, befriending programme, and children/youth work. We are also a distribution centre for Foodbank. We would be happy to put you in touch with any of these programmes at any time. New Hope cafe may be just the beginning.
The cafe is open 10.00am -2.00pm every Wednesday here at NHCC.
